2.    Kumbal Perahera (Nights 1–5): The initial, smaller street processions begin. These nights offer an intimate viewing experience with fewer crowds.

3.    Randoli Perahera (Nights 6–10): The main grand processions. The centerpiece is the majestic Maligawa Tusker, carrying the golden relic casket on a decorated pavilion, surrounded by dozens of illuminated elephants and drumming troupes.

4.    Diya Kapeema (Water-Cutting Ceremony): On the final morning, a sacred water-cutting ritual takes place at the Mahaweli River to conclude the festival.
